What it was
Shopify storefront at broadwaybazaar.net selling Broadway-themed merchandise. Active 2014 onward based on Google Search Console exports. Ran charity-partnership merchandise campaigns where a portion of revenue from a curated drop went to a charity partner.
What I did
I came into the venture because two business partners needed someone to manage the online portion of the business since they didn't have a store front. I took them from a GoDaddy shopping cart to a Shopify storefront. Gradually was able to teach myself my first bit of learning about Google Ads and Facebook Advertising. Learned Google Search Console and syncing products to get shown in Google Shopping Results. Google and Facebook remarketing. Keyword search and SEO. PPC advertising. Keyword advertising. Keyword w/ image. Email marketing and list maintenance became a huge driver of revenue for the business.
How it shaped what came next
Broadway Bazaar is the predecessor to Broadway Makers Marketplace. The lessons learned from the 4 years of building this venture fed directly into BMM's design as a multi-maker marketplace instead of a single-storefront brand.
